Do I need to have a specific design in mind before contacting you? 

Having photos or sketches as a reference will make it easier for us to ensure that we understand your vision and how to turn your dream dress into a reality. 

Do you offer design consultations? 

Yes, before we start with the process, we will arrange a design consultation to discuss designs, fabric and to take your measurements. 

What if my body changes after the measurements are taken?

Don’t worry, that is why we do enough fittings before the day of collection to ensure that we build the dress around your body. 

What is your average turnaround time for a custom dress, and do you offer rush orders for weddings or events with tight timelines? 

For wedding dresses or ball gowns, we work with an average of 4 months. For simpler dresses, around 4 weeks.  Yes, we can do rush orders at an additional fee. 

What’s included in the price of a custom dress? 

A design consultation, enough fittings- depending on the complexity of the dress, the fabric and embellishments needed for the dress, as well as the labor.  

Do you offer alteration services? 

We only do alterations on dresses made by MetLiefdeCherri. 

Where is my dress made, and who makes it? 

Every stitch is sewn locally by our sewists in Cape Town, South Africa

What makes your custom dresses different from off-the-rack options? 

You will have the chance to wear a never seen before, one-of-a-kind designer dress made and designed specifically for you and your body.
